This Sunday: Boston Zine Fair Workshop!
If you’re in the Boston area this weekend, stop in at the Boston Zine Fair! I’ll be there on Sunday, tabling with Trees and Hills, and on Sunday afternoon we’re leading a workshop entitled, “COMICS EDUCATION & COMMUNITY ORGANIZING: Produce, Publish, Promote!”
I’m really excited about the workshop. It starts at 3:30 Sunday afternoon. We’re going to talk about cool stuff like:
- Organizing comics groups, classes, and projects within communities and community organizations
- Designing your projects and programs
- Finding funding (applying for grants, for example!)
- Communication
- Promotion
- Cool projects in the works!
We’ll also do some brainstorming to design new (future) projects in our communities, and I’ll do some dramatic readings of my community-themed comics. It’ll be a blast… You will leave with IDEAS and ENTHUSIASM, or your money back! I GUARANTEE IT!
